Zucchini Squash Shrivelling on Plant Before Fully Mature

Question

This is the second year my zucchini plants have done this. The end of the vegetable starts shrivelling before it matures enough to pick, and now it’s going to my crookneck squash. Is it from too much water? I would greatly appreciate a solution to this dilemma.
