Q.Zucchini Plant

Anonymous added on May 25, 2014 | Answered

My one zucchini plant had white streaks and bumps at the base of the plant for a week or so and now it looks like it bursts open at the base and there is yellowish-orange stuff coming out. What can I do about this? It has a healthy looking zucchini on it and a lot of flowers.

That is a classic sign of a vine borer getting into the plant. You can stop it before it does too much damage though. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/squash/squash-pests-identifying-and-preventing-squash-vine-borer.htm
