Zucchini Grows Very Small, Not Big Enough to Eat, Then Dies

Question

There are plenty of baby zukes on the plant but they don’t continue growing to a size for picking and eating. They shrivel and die. Is this due to lack of water? I use Miracle Grow Tomato fertilizer.
