Zucchini Growing Problem

I am trying to grow zucchini. I have tons of flowers on all the plants but no fruit so far. I know there are male and female flowers, but I am not sure what to do with this knowledge. Am I supposed to get rid of the male flowers to facilitate the growth of the female ones? Please advise, as I need to know what to do to get some harvest.
