Q.Zucchini

Anonymous added on September 5, 2015 | Answered

I live in Hainesville, Illinois. (Zone – ???) Some of my zucchinis are turning orange. Some of it is green and the orange color is spreading. Is this normal? I have picked zucchinis already, but they were green in color.

Depending on the size, it could be a pollination issue or the squash has simply reached their fully mature color. I imagine that the flavor will not be what you are use to from this squash now that they have changed color, but it will not hurt you to eat them if you want. Otherwise, you can just toss them.
