It will make a dent in the appearance of those kinds of grasses, but will likely not push them out completely. The fact that those kinds of grass weeds are in your yard indicates that there is some deeper issues with the soil. Rather than plugs, you would be better off starting from scratch, amending the soil and reseeding.
