I’m in zone 5a, if I obtain Crocus sativus corms, is it likely they will survive and ever flower?

Crocus sativus generally is grown in zones 6-9, but some gardeners have succeeded in growing them in zone 5. Site selection is important- this plant needs very well-drained soil, preferably sandy, and it will do better in a sunny, dry site. If you can provide these conditions, it will have a good chance to survive and flower.
