Zone 7 dog friendly yard

my yard smells like my three dogs
I would like to add some color and fragrance to detract from the smell

Just a couple of questions for you to help steer me to the most helpful solution.
1. does it smell of dog urine or feces?
2. do you pick up the droppings?
3. by color are you talking about adding more color through flowers or restoring a rich green and repairing yellow/ dead spots?
