This is a new garden with poor soil in upstate NY. Rocks and gravel in the plan. Is this idea a bad one?

I think a yucca is a good idea, given that the yucca is very forgiving when it comes to soil types - as long as it drains well. A yuccca can also be in full sun and blooms best when it is full sun. It also can withstand very cold temperatures, which is important for us New Yorkers. :)
