Q.Yucca Root System

Anonymous added on May 19, 2011 | Answered

I’ve seen some yucca trees get to a huge size and I’ve planted one very close to the house. I was wondering, do they have a large root system? Will it go looking for pipes to wrap its roots around – or will it be ok?

In terms of foundation, you are fine. Their roots tend to be shallow. As far as pipes, as long as it gets enough water (which it typically needs little of) it should not go after the pipes.
