Yucca Plant Destruction

Question

I have an unusual question. In our hometown is an old cemetery, which is mainly our family’s ancestors; the whole cemetery is probably about 20′ x 20.’ Sometime in the past someone planted yucca plants in it. It is now completely covered with yucca plants. We would like to clean the cemetery and make it manageable again – at least so we could decorate it. What is the best way to get rid of the yucca plants? Is there an easier way than grubbing them up? What about some kind of spray to kill them? Please advise.
