Q.Yucca Plant

Anonymous added on May 7, 2014 | Answered

Our neighbor gave us transplants from his plant, and it has only bloomed once. I want to know, do they not bloom every year and, if so, what can we do to encourage the bloom? We have a whole area strip of the yucca and wondering if we have to separate them.

You don't encourage yucca to bloom. They only bloom when they're ready to. Yuccas bloom inconsistently. It is hard to say how often it will bloom because of this. This article may help though: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/yucca-plant-doesnt-bloom.htm
