Yucca houseplant

I just noticed an infestation of something in between the shoots/leaves of my indoor yucca plant (see photos). I have no idea what these things are. I’m worried that they’re larvae or droppings from some pest. Has anyone seen this before, know what it is, how to deal with it? Many thanks!

These don’t look like insects to me, instead they look more like they could be something that has fallen on the plant from above. Are there any plants hanging above this one that could have dropped seeds or dry flowers on it?
