Yucca gloriosa variegata

This plant finished flowering in November. It took 3 years to produce its spike. How do I treat it now? Three years ago it produced its first spike and I cut it down. Should I have done this? What do I do to encourage it to flower every year?

Unfortunately, there is no sure fire way to make a yucca bloom. They need a break between blooming to build up their energy reserves. They bloom when they are ready and normally take a few years in between blooming when they are young, but typically the older they get, the more regularly they will bloom.
