yucca die back/yellow leaves

We had a terrible winter here in Wisconsin and my two large yuccas are almost totally yellow. There is just a tinge of green in the centers. What can I do or are they gone? They were great and blooming last year.

As with many plants, about the most you can do at this point is wait and see. You can cut off the yellow leaves, those are definitely gone, if the plants are still alive they will start new growth from the tops, probably. They might also send up new shoots from the roots, or anywhere along the stems.
