Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have several tall yuccas that I have grown for shade protection for my shade lovlng plants. As I live in a retirement village, we are only permitted to have plants that grow only to gutter height, any bigger and they need to be trimmed. I am wondering if I was to cut the centre out of the yucca top would that stunt the growth? I have trimmed the lower leaves and side shoots off as they have grown and therefore have the trunks exposed.

It will likely not stunt growth, but it will slow it some. It does not hurt to top them once they become too tall. This article may also help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/yucca-plants-care-and-pruning-tips-for-pruning-a-yucca.htm [1]
