Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI am 62 years old and have grown pinto beans in Texas and Arkansas from the beans in the dried beans section of the grocery store all my life, for eating pinto GREEN beans. Somewhere in the 1990’s I’m guessing, the pinto beans started producing a HALF runner bean with green beans that are shaped totally different and do not have much of the pinto green bean flavor, if any. I’m looking for seeds for a start of an old commercial full runner pole bean variety of pinto beans that produce a green bean with a uniquely flavored broad, flat pod, about 4″ long. Any help you can give me on where to find the seeds would be greatly appreciated.

We don't make recommendations but have you looked at seed catalogs or searched online? I would only order from a reputable seed company and not an individual selling seeds. Those can be bogus. There is a seed savers exchange online you could connect with and ask them about it. There are heirloom seed catalogs, too. Just search for heirloom seeds online.
