Q.Yellowing Leaves Mountain Ash

Zone CW2 5DW | Anonymous added on September 6, 2024 | Answered

Planted a mountain ash a few days ago and already it’s leaves are going yellow; what am I doing wrong?! I soaked the roots before I planted it and have watered it each day given the weather / temperatures over the last few days.

It is probably a combination of transplant shock and too much water. Try watering every three days, but water deeply to encourage deep roots. It also needs well-draining, acidic soil. In fall, the leaves turn yellow to reddish purple.
