Yellow Versus Red Tomatoes

I read your excellent article on the chemical composition of red tomatoes and the possible alkaloids that are in them that could contribute to arthritis. I wonder if yellow tomatoes have the same chemical makeup in the same possible contribution to arthritis. cliff ck_nikka@yahoo.com

Yes. In fact, all plants within the genus, Solanum, contain solanine to a degree. Here are some common plants withing the genus:
