Yellow spots on my lemon tree leaves

I am growing lemon trees from seeds I got in a drink from a bar. They are growing nicely and I have 8 trees. But over the past few weeks I have noticed yellow spots on some of the leaves. No leaves have fallen off yet but I am stumped on what is causing this, and what I should do, if anything. They are indoors next to my brightest window and still pretty small plants but very leafy. I water once a week if needed and let the water drain properly, lightly mist them early morning daily, and I use miracle- gro as instructed… Please help I’m very attached to them now.

It’s kind of hard to see the leaves clearly, but I can tell you a couple of things to look for. First would be spider mites, which can leave tiny (pin point size) yellow dots, and eventually pale yellow areas. Another possibility is nutritional imbalances. If you’re fertilizing according to “instructions,” there’s a good chance you’re overfertilizing, unless the water is running through freely whenever you water (thus washing out unused fertilizer.) I would advise you to dilute the fertilizer to 1/4 of the recommended amount.
A third factor that always has to be considered is watering/soil moisture. Make sure your pot and soil have good drainage, and that the soil never dries out, nor stays soaking (water is visible on the soil, or squeezes out if you pinch some soil between your fingers.) If you want to actually grow a tree that might produce lemons, you will have to reduce your pot to one plant. The longer you leave all those little plants together, the less successful you will be with any transplanting. Of course, you may choose to have a pot of small plants – don’t know how long that will live, but no reason not to try — didn’t cost you anything, right?
