Yellow limes?

I have a citrus lime tree. If I leave the fruit on the tree too long, they turn yellow and drop off. Are they still limes, or are they now lemons?

It can be sometimes difficult to determine the ripeness of Limes.
Usually the best time to pick them is right before they turn yellow.
