Yellow Leaves on Outside Gardenia

pattio41 added on April 17, 2013 | Answered

First time for me to have a gardenia which was given to me at Christmas. It is now planted outside and has gone from deep green to very light green since planted and now has yellow leaves. I should mention I live in Florida and it is in direct sunlight. It is blooming but all the leaves are turning yellow. It was planted in the dirt from the ground and I have not fed it and don't know what to use to fertilize. It is watered by way of sprinklers every few nights.

Can you help me? Thank you.
