Q.Yellow hibiscus – dropping blooms.
Bought it some 14 months ago, bloomed nicely so every 5 months. Some 10 days ago, happily spotted 2 buds. Alas this morning one dropped-off. Suspecting “bugs’ larvae” inside bloom, cut it open, didn’t see anything “strange”. Appreciate your expert advice.
The soil is regularly watered, remaining slightly moist; getting some 5 hrs of direct sunshine in this tropical climate.
Thanks a lot.

This could be a few different things. If you do not fertilize at least once per year, then this is likely the culprit. If you do fertilize, but is high in nitrogen then this can also be the cause.
I would recommend fertilizing with a well balanced all-purpose fertilizer once per year in spring, Or a high potassium fertilizer once a month or two.
