I’m looking for a ground cover that will replace grass. I need something hardy that I can plant in my yard and have it take over and force out the grass. I live in southwest Ohio.

You may want to consider and investigate clover, blue star creeper, creeping jenny, chamomile, Irish moss, Corsican mint, thyme, and carpet sedum. Each does well in different types of conditions.
