Yes, there are indeed lawn fungi that can be spread by lawnmowers. You could try cleaning your lawnmower blades with 10% household bleach in water between mowings (while wearing gloves). A simpler possibility is that you could be mowning the grass too closely. It is best to remove only the top 1/3 of the grass at each mowing.
