Yucca Plant

I have a yucca plant too big for the room. Is it ok to chop it off at about a foot? Will it sprout or will it die? Advise please.

Yes, you can prune the plant back if it is getting too large or unsightly. The part of the trunk that does not have leaves will not regrow leaves if you prune the leafed part away, but it will often sprout new branches. It is very difficult to kill these plants, as they are very hardy.
