Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comCan I leave my Christmas cactus in total darkness till the buds start blooming? I have been leaving it in the closet at night and bring it out during the day, about 12 hours daily. I read somewhere it was ok to keep it in total darkness till you start to see buds. I appreciate any advice that you could give.

Yes, you should be giving it total darkness for at least 12-14 hours. Once you begin to see buds from, you can relocate the plant.
