Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy split is getting too tall. Can I cut the trunk. It fills out nicely, and I cut about 50 stems off twice a year. It is getting too tall and one trunk has spread to 6 or 7. Some of the trunks are getting too tall.

Can you please post a picture? I am unsure exactly which variety you are referring too. Is this a vining species, or is it the tree like species. This will determine how you can trim it. If you do end up cutting too much off, then they will usually regrow new shoots close to the bottom.
