Would you say this was a pest?

We have a blueberry patch of 27 bushes. They were loaded with berries this summer. In one weekend the berries turned mushy on the bush. In every one that I inspected, there was a prick hole. ??? The berries were beautiful one day, mushy – still on the bush – the next day. Do you have any ideas of why or what happened?
