Would dogwood trees do well in Florida?

Would dogwood trees do well in Manatee County, Florida? I’m moving from Virginia to Florida soon and I was wondering if dogwood trees would do well in Bradington, Florida (which is in Manatee County). If not, what would I have to do to get them to grow? I really don’t wanna give up my dogwoods.

There are four zones in Florida: 8, 9, 10, and 11. Bradenton is zone 9b.

The white and pink dogwood are designated up to zone 9 so you should be okay.
