Q.Wood Mulch Mixed With Mushroom Compost

Zone 32408 | ZonkHomer added on June 7, 2020 | Answered

I got a bulk delivery of mushroom compost and wood chip mulch and in the process of moving the compost and mulch and planting, the two are more mixed than layered. Will this suffocate the perennial flowers I planted? Total newbie here, thanks in advance

As long as this wood chip mulch is cured, and not fresh, then it will offer some drainage to your soil! I don't recommend using fresh wood chips for anything but composting without knowing how to plan around their carbon-leaching tendencies.
