With the kaolin clay to kill stinkbugs, will the soap burn my plants?

I have used dish soap to kill spider mites by washing the underside of leaves with soap and water. One time I did not rinse it well enough and killed my tomatoes. Is this a small enough amount (2 tsp) to 2 gallons of water with the kaolin that it won’t burn the plants? It sounds great to leave the kaolin on the leaves but am worried about the soap.

It is always best to test on a small portion of the plant beforehand. This article tells how to mix soap and water with kaolin clay.
