false bird of paradise

Question

With the false bird of paradise, how quickly does it spread and how much? I have an area approximately 3 feet in depth and need some height and color and would like to plant the false bird of paradise but cannot accommodate too much spreading.

Heliconias need plenty of space to spread out as they grow and spread from rhizomes. Your space you mention may not be adequate to accommodate this plant.
