Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI bought four wisterias last year and planted them into the ground last November. Before planting in the ground, they had an abundance of green foliage. I pruned back as described. I live in southern Spain. At the moment I have small brown bud-like growths appearing. When can I expect the green growth to begin? I understand that the plants may not flower for another year or so but I am expecting green shoots.

Those brown buds should turn into green shoots here soon. The brown buds are the leaf and stem buds forming. Many woody plants grow branch buds in this way.
