Wisteria From a seed pod

Question

1).I cracked the pod in the sun, waited for spring, opened the seed by putting it in water to get seedling to sprout, and finally, Grandson and I planted it in mulch with water holding pellets. It has come up through the dirt, and I have left it outside all night for the past 3-4 days and it is doing great. Anything else special I should do now? Oh, and I put a small stick next to it to give it support to climb.
2). I have seen it written that it can take 10 years or more for it to blossom, is that true?
I have waited so long to grow one from a strong plant, and cannot beleive it would take that long to blossom from a seed. Please let me know, and Thank you for your time.

Congratulations on producing seeds and germinating it successfully!
Yes, patience is now required, it can take up to 15 years to see blossoms from a seed grown vine.
