Wisteria Colour

Question

I have a wisteria which is approximately 3 years old. When it was planted I thought it was purple but now it has both purple and white flowers which I’m confused about. I thought it had to be one or the other? I can’t send a flowering photo at present as it’s not the season but can send a photo of the general look. Thank you.

It probably was potted with a stem or two from each color. Other plants are sold this way, too.
