Can you use the pea pods to grow new plants?

Yes, these seed pods can be plant as you would peas. These are best sown directly in spring. These freshly grown plants from seed might take upwards of 15 years to see its first blooms, though. An alternative would be to start the vine from cuttings. This will ensure that the new plant is the same age as the one you took the cutting from, thus it will bloom within the first or second season.
