Wisteria

I live in Texas and my husband’s great grandmother passed away about 3 years ago. We have been slowly working to transplant her flowers and shrubs that we can over these past 3 years. She has a Wisteria in her yard that is 3-4 ft. wide and maybe 2-3 ft tall; it has not been cared for since she passed and we thought the plant had died because all of the vines and branches are brittle and dry. Today, I discovered there is one lone vine that has made its way to the ground and rooted and has lots of green leaves on it.

I really want to transplant this vine. I do not know exactly how long the vine is because it is currently entangled in the dead vines, but it is about 1/2-1 inch around in diameter. Any advice on how I can (hopefully) successfully transplant this little guy? I would love to be able to carry on her beautiful plant!

Thank you, Makenzy
