Wisteria

I have a wisteria [white] situated on a west facing wall. It is about 9 yrs old. Up to and including this year it has bloomed well and was extremely healthy. Suddenly about a week ago, it has wilted and all the leaves are curled up and the branches droopy. It has been very dry recently, so I watered it profusely to no effect. We had a severe frost in February with temps of -17 C for a couple of days. Cannot see any signs of pest invasion, etc. What is the problem?

If the wisteria became to dry and then became stressed, it could have become infected with insects or even wisteria borer.
