Q.Winterizing Grapevines

Zone Philadelphia, PA | Anonymous added on August 17, 2021 | Answered

I planted some grapevines in May of this year. They have sprouted and they have some healthy leaf growth. What should I do with the vines to prepare them for the cold months? I bought them from a local gardening center and I threw away the container that they came in, so I cannot contact the company that sold them. I know that they are a green bunching type grape. Any information would be helpful.

Unfortunately, without knowing what kind of grape they are, it will be a guess as to whether they are hardy in your area. Since you got them, locally, then you would expect them to be fully hardy and not require extra help with cold temperatures.
