wintering hybiscus

I wintered my hybiscus trees and they were starting to grow leaves back. I may have over watered them and they look dead. I did run my nail on the trunk and branches and it is bright green under the bark. I have them outside and am watering but no leaves yet. It has been outside about three weeks. Will they come back?

It is possible, but you should not water until the top 2 inches of soil is completely dry. I would apply some wettable sulfur and dolomitic lime to try and help keep away any infections that will occur with over watering. Depending on if yours is tropical or hardy, and what your climate zone is will determine how soon you will see leaves.
