There are many species of Nicotiana with different growing requirements, so it’s best if you know the name of your speices and can look up its winter hardiness. If you don’t know the name, you can always try an experiment, mulch it and cover it well, and see if it survives. Also, it may produce seeds and re-seed itself for next year.
