Winter sun – Solanum Jasminoides

I’m concerned about lack of winter sun if I plant a white potato vine (Solanum jasminoides) on a north facing patio – which gets no sun in the dead of winter when the sun is low in the sky. Summers it will get a few hours of sun. Should I plant it?

This plant needs about 4 hours or more of sun to do well. If you feel it will not get enough sun there, I would not plant it there. If you feel it would be close to enough sun, you can supplement some light with a fluorescent light bulb placed near the plant.
