Q.Winter-Damaged Gardenia Care

Anonymous added on March 26, 2011 | Answered

The leaves on my two-foot gardenia plants were green and glossy until the last unexpected snow. Now the majority are brown and dried, with some (stems) that are green. Should I prune them now? Any other suggestions?

If the stems are green, I would not prune them. They can regrow their leaves. Only prune the brown stems off.
