Q.Winter Care for Fig Tree

Anonymous added on September 6, 2011 | Answered

Do I need to protect my tree this winter? If so, how do I do it? I live at the seashore of NJ. The tree is 4 months old and has grown quite a bit since it was planted.

It depends on the variety you have. Do you know the variety? If you can tell me that, I can give you more infoon winter care. Also, is it in a container or in the ground? Hardy varieties should be able to survive in the ground where you live, but expect that it will likely die back to the ground for the first few years. It will need to be winterized to help it survive. This article will help:
