How many pockets of seeds per 1 hectare if I want to plant? Seeds and seedlings, which one is the best when planting?

Butternut Squash is directly planted into hills of soil.
Generally speaking you plant 4 or 5 seeds per hill.

Seedlings do not transfer well to the garden.
