Wind Blew Over My RedBud Tree

This year near San Antonio we are having an abundance of rain and storms including bursts of wind (not normal here). My yard is natural and this 30’ RedBud tree succumbed to the wind BUT it’s still alive and since it fell it started to bloom (which it has not been doing).
I’m trying to right it but it’s just too high for one man and a winch.
Should I cut it the top off (July 4th) while it’s cool and rainy at the first angle (about 8’ high) or lop it off just above the ground and nope it regrows? Or … your suggestion.
It grew high and fairly straight as its surrounded by y’all oaks.

This is the wrong time of year for pruning and topping a tree is never recommended.

I would just try putting the tree back into place. Replace soil that is missing with a good amount of top soil and organic amendments.

See if the tree responds and grows. They you can prune out dead material in the winter when the tree is dormant.

Anchor the tree in place.
You many want to consider having the tree inspected by a qualified Arborist, it may save you time and money if the tree is not worth saving.
