Wind and Snow Block

I want to plant something on the north side of my house to stop the snow drifts. My garage is on the north side of my house. I live on two acres, and the snow blows and covers up my driveway. I live near Amarillo, TX.

You might try an arborvitae hedge. These are pretty hardy shrubs and could help block some of the wind/snow.
