Wilting Christmas Cactus

My Christmas cactus has a lot of wilting on it. It started with a few branches and now that it has blooms. I have noticed it is the red-flowering leaves that are wilting more so than the pink. I live in Colorado, and I only water the plant every few weeks. Do I need more water?

WIlting is normally a sign of too much water. Water the plant only when the soil is dry to the touch. Cactus plants prefer minimal water. Too much water will cause the buds to fall off, or root rot. The best rule of thumb for a Christmas cactus is to water it once a month, and never let the pot sit in water.
