will we have to get rid of the plumbago

I have 3 plumbagos in front yard. Found mold on the mulch, which is under the plumbagos. What are our choices?

Please don’t do anything hasty … it’s not the plumbagos’ fault. I think the best thing would be to scrape off the moldy mulch, and replace it with fresh clean mulch.
